Both born and raised in Minnesota, their paths crossed at Gustavus Adolpus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. They graduated in 2002 with a bachelor of arts, Melanie with a degree in psychology and Joe with a degree in interactive media (a combination of computer science, marketing, and graphic design).

Happily married since May of 2003, Joe and Melanie took their vows aboard a cruise ship in Miami before the ship set sail for the caribbean. They know how special and unique a wedding can be - the photo to the right was taken on their wedding day.

Joe and Melanie currently reside in Crystal, Minnesota (in the western suburbs of Minneapolis in the twin cities metro), where they devote their time and talents to Wedding Day Web Design, LLC. Joe handles the design, programming and hosting of websites, while Melanie does the finances and manages the operations of the company.

Outside of work their interests include playing on a co-ed softball team in the summer and fall, downhill sking in the winter, and spoiling their pet pug dog.
